아우디의 아이콘 TT가 라인업 확장을 예고했다. 2014 파리 모터쇼 전날 열린 '폭스바겐 데이'를 통해 정식 데뷔한 아우디 TT 스포츠백 컨셉(TT Sportback Concept)은 TT의 디자인을 유지하면서 실용성을 살린 5도어 모델이다.

TT보다 살짝 덩치를 키운 보디(길이 290mm, 너비 60mm 확대, 높이는 30mm 낮다)에 4인승의 편안한 실내를 제공하는 형태로 아우디 모듈러 플랫폼인 MQB 플랫폼의 유연함을 증명해준다.

강력한 디자인에 맞춰 튜닝된 2.0리터 TFSI 엔진은 최고출력 400마력을 뿜고 7단 듀얼 클러치 S-트로닉 변속기와 콰트로 시스템을 조합했다. 덕분에 정지상태에서 시속 100km에 이르는 시간은 단 3.9초.

아우디는 이번 컨셉의 양산에 대해서 공식적으로 언급하지 않았지만 호응이 좋을 경우 양산으로 이어질 가능성은 충분할 것으로 보인다.
